Dallas-based AT&T is shutting down it's CallVantage service. Much like other digital home phone providers, including competitors Time Warner Cable and Vonage, AT&T's CallVantage service allowed users to make calls over a broadband connection using a specially designed adapter.
This must be great news for those still in the landline phone ...

a 4 year old boy calls 911 emergency help for his 'take away' math problems. The dispatcher seems helpful until you hear the mom screaming. Apparently she told the boy if he needed help with his math to call someone, so he called the police.
