FileFront is Shutting Down

FileFront, a premier destination for video game files on the internet, will suspend it’s operations tomorrow March 30th. FileFront is currently owned by Ziff Davis Publishing the former owners of 1up.com and GameVideos.com which were sold to UGO in January of 2009.

FileFront leaves behind a decade of file hosting and there is talk that some former employees are still trying to salvage the brand and it’s content as the deadline approaches tomorrow. If you have any files hosted on FileFront it is recommended that you download them today.

With the sale of the 1up network and the closing of ECM and FileFront this leaves PC Mag as Ziff Davis Media’s sole major brand. There is no mention of the FileFront shut down on the main Ziff Davis Site.
