Police Raid Family Barbecue Posted on Facebook

Unfortunately he learned this because UK police officers dressed in camo uniforms and body armor raided and shut down a family barbecue he had planned on facebook.
The police say the event had been advertised as an “all night party” on the popular social networking website and declared it a ‘rave’. Before the grill was even lit they stormed in with a riot van and a helicopter demanding that Mr. Poole’s family and friends, a total of 15 people, disperse immediately.
There was a sound system and a generator at the location where they had gathered, but it hadn’t even been turned on yet. Mr. Poole stated he felt they were far enough away from anyone to cause any trouble once they did turn the music on. The event cost him $1600 to setup and he wasn’t even able to grill burgers.
