SitePoint Marketplace Changes Names, Clothes
June 24th, 2009 | by supperman |A long standing place to buy and sell websites, scripts, design work and more the SitePoint Marketplace has expanded into it’s own website. Founded in 2005 the marketplace has allowed thousands of web developers to sell their works in a fairly protected marketplace environment.
The new website, now known as Flippa.com, will have many of the same features as the SitePoint marketplace but takes on a drastically different and fresher appearance than it’s previous version and separates the marketplace from it’s founders books and the webmaster forum behind it.
Flippa works by allowing users to purchase ‘credits’ and then use those credits to post things for sale. Sales are conducted by auction or classifieds and can be listed with a buy it now price and/or a reserve price as well.
