Boeing Laser Shoots Down Incoming Enemy

Call it the first shot in a the next evolution of weapons. For the first time a system know as ‘Avenger’ has tracked and successfully shot down an incoming enemy UAV. The mobile system is being developed by Boeing and was tested at White Sands Beach in New Mexico. Boeing is working hard to prove that ‘directed energy’ weapons have matured and can be useful on the battlefield. They are also working on an Airborne Laser system and various other Laser weapons projects, although rumors of a tie fighter seem to be unfounded.
